Dr. Stan Ford writes:

Dear Bill,
I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. Are you enjoying your summer?  I am writing to share a link of the 2015 Chamber Music Series for which I am artistic director. If any of your readers plan to be in Salzburg during that time, I do hope they will consider attending. We have a very exciting roster this year, offering diverse performances of music to satisfy a variety of tastes. The web site also includes a video of excerpts from performances in the 2014 season.  I would appreciate it if you would share this info with your subscribing community. Thank you for your support.
Best Wishes

Message from the Artistic Director

After such a successful 2014 season, it is a great pleasure for me, as Artistic Director of this Chamber Music Series, to welcome and extend greetings to everyone attending this year’s Festival. I am delighted to announce the new concert season which will commence with a rich and varied repertoire in collaboration with top artists from Austria and abroad.

The Festival has established itself firmly as one of the country’s foremost cultural events. Now among the most important chamber music series in Austria, it has acquired a devoted following of music lovers and enthusiasts, drawn by a combination of features: the high calibre of the artists, the quality of their performances, the imaginative programming to make the row of concerts a uniquely enjoyable experience.

I wish to express my deepest gratitude to all, particularly the artists, who have volunteered their time and imaginative collaboration to produce yet another remarkable program, one designed to satisfy the most discerning of music lovers, while introducing new elements to keep the spirit of the series fresh and vigorous and, through these innovations, to attract new audiences to understand and appreciate the very special appeal of chamber music.

A special note, I would like to put our benefit project on your hearts: In times like these, many people have to leave their home, and it is especially difficult for children and young people who come to us alone because of war and displacement. The SOS Kinderdorf Clearing House provides a home, security and a perspective. Your generous donations support their efforts. All artists have waived their fee, so that all donations benefit this important cause.

To all associated with the Salzburg International Chamber Music Concerts; and to all those attending, listening to or participating in the 2015 Series, enjoy the experience and we welcome you back to at a truly remarkable season.

With best wishes,

Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Stan Ford
