Dear Friend,

I want to invite you to one of our best Classical Revolution Detroit (CRD) events during the yearlong Knight Arts project. Tomorrow evening (Wed. 7pm-10) CutTime Simfonica features a Messiah Singalong and Nutcracker Dance-along at the N'Namdi Center for Contemporary Art in Midtown at 54 E. Forest by Woodward Ave.

Parking is available in the Seva lot between Garfield and Forest thru the alley off John R.

We'll be joined by four vocalists from OperaMODO, a new company in Detroit (also a Knight AC recipient), to lead us thru the 1st part and the Hallelujah Chorus. This is followed by my new arrangement of The Nutcracker Suite. And there is space for you or the kids to dance, step or just move to the familiar Christmas music that moves us spiritually every year.

We'll start the evening off however with straight up classical including Mozart's Symphony #29, Beethoven's Symphonies #5 AND #6 (BIRTHDAY BOY!) and my own hit Pork 'n Beans before swinging into the Christmas spirit with Lo How a Rose, Christmas Time Is Here, and Sleighride. And you can join in all the merry music-making!

Also, CRD has been invited to celebrate new solar streetlights being installed in Highland Park this Monday (Dec. 21) 5pm on Highland St (across Woodward Ave. from MacGregor Library). CutTime Simfonica will play 6pm-7 at Pharoah's Lounge (12527 Woodward) around the corner, our usual, indelible symphonic, crossover and CutTime hits like Pork 'n Beans and naturally Highland Park, MI: City of Trees. This will be very personal for me, since I grew up one block away.

We are expecting a great audience both evenings and hope you'll join and support our work sharing classical music in new ways!

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

- Rick Robinson (Mr. CutTime)
